I completed a VAE (Validation des acquis par l’expérience – vocational training) pathway at DRT to pass an advanced accountancy diploma that I had been unable to prepare for at the end of my schooling.

This qualification is a personal achievement supported and accepted by my manager. It required effort and commitment from both myself and DRT, which benefited us both in the end.

I also benefited from the help of various people in my department when I had doubts or needed proofreading.

All the tasks, at least in the accounts department, that I performed at DRT on a daily basis (closing accounts, accounting record management, budget management, cash flow tables, declarations, etc.) were recognized and valued.

What I’ll remember from this experience is the personal satisfaction I felt at preparing for and passing an exam – written and oral – while continuing to work. It was a real achievement, a personal challenge which DRT helped make a success in the end.
