As a manufacturing engineer at the Castets site since May 2007, my main duties are to ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing unit in terms of productivity, output, product quality and environmental impact, while ensuring the safety of people and goods, working in close collaboration with manufacturing foremen.

Since arriving at DRT, I’ve had the opportunity to work at different manufacturing units at the site, which has allowed me to become more versatile and carry out varied duties. I obtained Green Belt certification in 2015.

My current position is extremely motivating and educational in that it’s very multidisciplinary, which allows me to get a good overview of everything and work with a variety of support services. In addition, new industrialization projects are currently being finalized and others are in the pipeline, which allows me to plan for the future.

There is no routine to the work and duties I carry out, which makes the job interesting but also means I need to know how to deal with manufacturing hazards and emergencies.

Internationally, DRT is already positioned close to its supply sources and its customers. The international expansion over the last few years has accelerated the growth of the group and also driven the development of the French manufacturing sites.

DRT could be summed up as a company which is pursuing its development while maintaining its human side.
