DRT WAS AWARDED A SPECIAL PRIZE FROM THE 2020 RESPONSIBLE CARE® (RC®) AWARDS JURY FOR ITS DERTAL® RENEWABLE BIOLIQUIDS RANGE.
The national awards, hosted by professional body France Chimie, recognize the most outstanding and innovative sustainable and responsible initiatives endorsed by the global chemical industry’s RC® initiative.
This special mention recognizes the work and commitment from DRT over the last two years to add value, from both a technical and economic standpoint, to production by-products in order to develop renewable bioliquids achieving drastic combustion emissions reduction (CO2, Sox, NOx, heavy metals).
Manufactured in France from renewable by-products stemming from the paper industry and the upcycling of DRT’s own by-products, Dertal® bioliquids are sustainable alternatives to heavy fuel and mineral oils, used for the production of green heat, steam and power. This range of products allows industries and heating networks to commit to a more environmentally friendly approach without any competition with food usage.
“We are proud to be recognized for the work we have done to qualify and certify our Dertal® products”, says Eric Moussu, DRT Head of Sales, Industry. “This award testifies to the pertinence of DRT’s business model and its strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, placing responsible resource management and circular economy principles at the heart of its approach.”
The Dertal® range is certified by the ISCC*, a sustainability certification system covering the entire supply chain and all kinds of biobased feedstocks and renewables.
