Derlic

Mixture of terpene hydrocarbons with a high content of Delta-3-Carene.
Aspect: colourless to slightly yellowish. It is produced from Crude Sulfate Turpentine, a by-product of the pulp industry.

Applications

  • Derlic is a basic material for organic synthesis.
  • It is also used in oilfield. It is a bio-based alternative to fossil solvents (BTX) to dissolve asphaltene and organic residues in well bore clean outs, hydraulic fracturing and antisludge applications.
