Since it was founded in 1932, DRT’s constant effort in the field of research brought the company to leading positions in pine chemicals.

45 top level scientists, including over ten PhD engineers, currently work in our laboratories on the following:

• Terpene derivatives:
  Development of intermediate molecules and new ingredients for perfumery.
• Terpene resins:
   Improvement of our resins to satisfy all our customers’ technical requirements for adhesives, chewing-gum, rubber, etc.
• Rosin derivatives:
  Implementation of technical assistance to facilitate the use of our products developed from gum rosin and tall oil.
• Products obtained by vegetable extraction:
  Search for high quality extracts and preparation of technical and regulatory documents to help our customers to use them.

For all these activities, DRT offers to its scientists and chemist the latest analytical and technical capabilities in order to develop new products and innovative processes that respect the environment.
Furthermore, an integrated application laboratory enables us to advise our clients about the use of our ranges of resin and terpene derivatives.
